Gone is the earnest embrace of American ambition and innocence wrapped in power ballads, replaced with a cynical, perhaps more realistic view of American megalomania. The guitars are fuzzed out, the beats lean industrial, Bono is more aggressively observational than impassioned. An all time classic. Now re-issued in a limited release complete with poster.
